VELUX Modular Skylights has been developed in close cooperation with the renowned architects from Foster + Partners. Together we have created an intelligent design that meets all international standards and requirements for commercial buildings.

Similar to Longlights, Northlights are strips of VELUX Modular Skylights. The characteristic upright design is primarily for installations that are directed towards the northern hemisphere for soft and reflected lighting. The galvanized steel bracket system for fastening the module consists of two identical brackets and clamps in top and bottom, ensuring a precise and easy installation. The prefabricated modular flashing comes with integrated insulation and ensures a 100% waterproof installation and seamless integration between roof material and skylights.

Northlight installations are applicable for pitches from 40° to 90°

Mounting bracket

Description

Ellisse is an extruded aluminium panelised sliding shutter system that offers architects and builders a versatile and practical solution to managing solar radiation and aiding privacy, whilst adding a modern architectural aesthetic.

Features and benefits
A wide range of system types – Ellisse can slide, hinge vertically, hinge horizontally or stay static. A wide range of louvre types are available, including extruded or sheet aluminium, Western red cedar or glass. The louvres inside the frames are able to be turned to a maximum of 85° by hand.

Robust – Ellisse is made from high grade aluminium and stainless steel and if the louvres and frames are operable, they are pivoted in UV-stable bushes and rollers. The system is designed to compensate for thermal expansion and is low in maintenance.

Potential for reduced installation costs – Ellisse can be provided in modular pre-assembled form.

Controlling Ellisse – The louvres and frames are operated either manually or by an electric actuator within a continuously sliding rail which is available in virtually any size. They can also be automated by a Colt sun tracking system such as ICS 4-Link or Soltronic.
