Meet Arc. Ekaete Bassey Fujah MNIA

Ekaete Bassey Fujah is one of the directors of ATO Architects, which she joined in 1994.  Her experience in the Architecture and Construction industries has been fairly diverse.

She completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture at the Enugu Campus of the University of Nigeria.

She is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects with experience in all facets of building and facility design and project and construction management. She is a Michigan Licensed Builder and was involved in Construction Project Management in the US from 2005 to 2012. As a Certified Playground Safety Inspector she has been involved in design and construction of playgrounds and parks, auditing of playgrounds and planning of amusement parks.

She is a LEED Accredited Professional and has received a total of 40 hours of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training.

She is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Association of Consulting Architects, Nigeria and immediate past coordinator of the Lagos Zone of Female Architects of Nigeria (FAN), a subsidiary of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.  In that capacity, she edited the first book published by the association – Nigerian Women of Impact In Architecture.

She is a keen writer who is very enthusiastic about still and motion graphics, furniture design, photography and African drama.  She is also an avid cyclist, tennis player and enjoys running and roller-skating.

She has a good command on the new direction of Green and you should never miss her session.
